The Real World Wonder Woman Project
When I first wrote about the Real World Wonder Woman Project, I was telling a story about activism, DocAnon and finding ways to push back. Since then, the work has grown into Resistance Kitty, EpsteinWiki, Butterfly Bureau and the Resistance Directory. Apparently, one project was never going to be enough.
The title still belongs to this collection. Its meaning has grown with me. Today, it holds art, survivor centered advocacy, research and the practical work of helping people find information and ways to act.
Where the story began
Activism has long been part of my life, alongside my work as a therapist and sexologist. The original version of this project described protests, volunteering and my connection with Anonymous during the war in Ukraine and OpJane.
Those experiences belong to the history of the work. The artwork from that period reflects my interest in resistance, anonymity and people acting together. Some parts of that history remain private. The art is the part I chose to share.

The work has grown
Resistance Kitty gives my activism a public voice through news, survival guides, civic action and comics. Humor has a place in that work. Sometimes a sharp line is how I get someone to stop scrolling long enough to pay attention.
EpsteinWiki brings the focus to documents, testimony and a survivor centered evidence archive. That work asks for patience, careful sourcing and a clear distinction between what a record shows and what still needs to be established.
Butterfly Bureau is another part of that investigative work, with reporting, conversations and resources for people following the evidence. The questions have become larger, and so has the need to make the material understandable.
The Resistance Directory helps connect people with organizations, resources and opportunities to participate. Information becomes more useful when someone can find a practical next step.
Real world work is shared work
The Wonder Woman title carries a little theatrical confidence, but the daily work depends on people. Researchers, survivors, editors, volunteers and readers all bring something that one person cannot supply alone.
My role keeps changing. Some days I am making art. Other days I am reading documents, writing, organizing information or helping someone understand where to begin. The shared purpose is to make room for truth, dignity and participation.
The next chapter is still being made
This project now holds both the person who made these early digital pieces and the work that followed. I can keep the original images while allowing the story around them to become more honest, specific and useful.
The Real World Wonder Woman Project is still about showing up. The mask has company now. So do I.
